Commitments

Spark Minda, a major Indian automobile component manufacturer, committed to donating funds for family planning and menstrual hygiene on a yearly basis from 2017 until 2020. Spark Minda pledged to support sensitization workshops that will engage 1,000 people per year until 2020, reaching 3000 people from the communities surrounding the corporation’s manufacturing units and vocational training centers in the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. These workshops were designed to inform participants about family planning method choices, their effectiveness, and the myths and misconceptions related to each method. Participants will also learn about the nearest public health facilities offering family planning services.
