August 2015: Kenya, Pakistan and Uganda Share Postpartum Family Planning Insights
Publication Date: 08/30/2015

We are excited by the excellent progress made by the 16 country delegations that joined the Postpartum Family Planning (PPFP) Global Meeting, hosted in Chiang-Mai, Thailand, earlier this year by FP2020 in technical partnership with Jhpiego. On August 26, government and implementing partner representatives working in Kenya, Pakistan and Uganda joined in the first follow-up webinar to the meeting to share action updates and experiences in increasing access to PPFP. The discussion, which was open to all Global Meeting attendees, centered on the progress in executing action plans developed during the PPFP meeting as well as highlighted challenges, such as mobilizing resources, integration of PPFP into country plans and strategies, and ensuring commodity security at facilities. We would like to acknowledge the PPFP Global Steering Committee for its strong global and country support, including: WHO, USAID, UNFPA, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and DFID.
