Next week, on Sept. 6-8, 22 governments and civil society representatives will convene in Cartagena, Colombia for a Latin America and Caribbean conference aimed at reducing inequities in sexual and reproductive health and family planning in the region. FP2020 is pleased to join a coalition of partners in organizing the event, including: ForoLAC; Profamilia; the U.S. Agency for International Development; the United Nations Population Fund; the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition; Management Sciences for Health; Jhpiego; the Inter-American Development Bank; John Snow, Inc.; and PAI. The conference seeks to catalyze an important regional dialogue—both technical and political—to identify strategies for addressing the region’s most significant barriers to reaching marginalized populations, and aims to energize individual and collective commitments to achieve country objectives.
