IPPF Update - Uganda
Publication Date: 10/30/2014

Advocacy by Reproductive Health Uganda, an IPPF Member Association, helped to achieve the pledged budget allocation of USD$5 million from the government for contraceptive supplies. This work was in partnership with Advanced Family Planning.

RHU also helped achieve a task shifting policy that enables clinical staff to undertake sterilization (previously not allowed) and the establishment of the national Population Council, through the passing of the Population Council Bill in 2013 and its signing by the President in 2014.
