• Sweden’s disbursements for contraceptives amounted to US$45 million in 2013.

• Sweden’s funding for maternal and child health (MDG 4 & 5) is listed in table 2 below; disbursements for 2010-2013 and budgeted funding for 2014-2015.
  • Disbursements increased by 22 percent from US $333 million in 2010 to US $405 million in 2013 for funding towards MDG 4 and 5.
  • The table also breaks down expenditures into multilateral and bilateral funding; bilateral funding accounted for 36% of all MNCH expenditures in 2013.
  • As listed in the table 2, the Swedish government will increase funding for MDG 4 & 5 to US $451 million in 2014. Funding will remain at this level in 2015.
