Overview

FP2020 works with governments, civil society, multilateral organizations, donors, the private sector, and the research and development community to enable 120 million more women and girls to use contraceptives by 2020. The Secretariat, hosted by the UN Foundation, is responsible for the implementation of day-to-day activities.

Applicants interested in a position with FP2020 must submit a current resume and cover letter online through the UN Foundation careers portal. Please note, your application will not be considered without the submission of a cover letter.

Only applications submitted through the UN Careers portal will be considered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, as per UN Foundation policy.

Careers

Associate, Anglophone Africa

Location: Washington, DC
Position: Full-Time

The Associate is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support to FP2020’s Country Support team – namely, the Anglophone Africa Manager, Rapid Response Mechanism Portfolio Manager and Country Support Director. 

More specifically, the Associate provides informed recommendations and support to the Anglophone Africa Manager on country level progress and challenges and helps to cultivate relationships with Country Focal Points and wider stakeholders at country level, to advance the goal of FP2020.  The Associate liaises with the Anglophone Africa Manager and the Rapid Response Mechanism Portfolio Manager to identify programs that meet RRM criteria and collaborating with in-country experts as appropriate.

Coordinator, Country Support & Humanitarian

Location: Washington, DC
Position: Full-Time

The Country Support and Humanitarian Coordinator is responsible for providing logistical and programmatic support to the Country Support team’s various portfolios -- Anglophone Africa, Francophone Countries, Asia, Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) and Postpartum/post-abortion family planning (PPFP/PAFP). S/he will also be responsible for coordinating administrative services for the Managing Director, and as needed, support the Senior Advisor for Emergency Preparedness and Response.

Coordinator, Reference Group & Global Initiatives

Location: Washington, DC
Position: Full-Time

The Coordinator, Reference Group and Global Initiatives, FP2020 is responsible for providing administrative/logistical and programmatic support to the Reference Group, Global Advocacy, and Adolescents & Youth teams.

The incumbent is supervised by the Director for Adolescents and Youth to balance priorities of the three portfolios. The Coordinator also works across the Secretariat to ensure full coordination and successful execution of various meetings, events, and/or products such as the Annual Progress Report.

Internships
