Commitments

In 2012, the Aman Foundation, a non-profit trust operating in Pakistan, made a financial commitment of US$5 million on a matching basis with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in additional funds for family planning programs and initiatives in Karachi, Pakistan. These funds are for the purpose of facilitating research, improving quality of services, introducing new contraceptive methods, innovating service delivery interventions, and generating demand. The foundation also committed to enhancing partnerships with local community-based organizations, the private sector, and the public sector through an integrated community-based approach.
